IMO, the free Kindle Lending Library is probably the best part. Or the free shipping. On the free shipping part, I've seen a few recommendations that say that you should get it before Christmas to buy gifts. That's not a bad idea.

Me too, only in Germany it's next day delivery if you don't leave it too late. Not sure if the kindle stuff is thrown in or not.

Need to watch your purchases, many 3rd party suppliers selling through Amazon these days, and many of them aren't on prime, so you often end up paying postage despite signing up for prime. But (at least here) many of those guys now do 'free' postage and ship overnight as well.

These days I do most of my shopping through Amazon and Ebay... Food's the big exception.
