I've always wanted to find a different barrel for my Bb clarinet, but never bothered to put much time into searching for one, what with other priorities in life and all of that. However, while trolling eBay looking for Selmer metal clarinet mouthpieces and barrels, I came across what appeared to be the identical twin to the one on my horn, only half a millimeter longer.
Since my horn always has had a slight tendency towards the sharp side, I made a "Buy It Now" offer and picked it up for about $60.00. No problems with the transaction, and five days later the barrel arrived in perfect condition.
Everything save the length is matched exactly between the two, and the barrel works just fine. I didn't know that "new" stock for the Series 9 still existed, but there you go. Just like the metal mouthpiece that was listed at the same time, these things are still floating around.
