I have to say that this is one of the most tedious shows to sit through in terms of the dialogue breaks!

I'm playing Reed 4 (clarinet/bass clar/bari sax/bassoon) but you might as well phone in the bassoon part - there's one cue in each act on it.

There are also some impossible bass clar. to bari changes - a quarter rest at about 160.

Some good tunes in the show though. Old Friends and Not a Day Goes By are really nice.

Money stinks on this one.

I'm doing it as a favour for a friend, and because I have a thing for playing Sondheim shows. We've got a few gaps in the schedule at Stratford, so I'm just subbing 4 services for him.

Did that book for another local high school when I was a junior. Did the bass clarinet to bari jump by having both on the stand, missed the last note on the bass clarinet part I think. Thank god for K&M stands where you can practically drop the bass into it and it will catch it, and having a rolling Hamilton bari stand. Made it rather uncomfortable though.
