I botched a title and changed it in the advanced options. It is changed within the thread, but the main title is still mis-spelled.
Any way to do this?

Fixed.
I don't know if the option exists for the OP, but it's doable for a mod.

Thanks Merlin.
I copy and pasted the post to SOTW for more exposure, error and all. Editing it there fixed the main title as well. Just wondering if something here was broken or deliberately chosen to be that way.

Hmm... where is our resident expert in these kind of thangs? Pete?
If you're the author of a thread, you should be able to edit your first post and change the stuff in the "title" line.
G'head and check. I'd have to create an account for myself with user privs and I don't have time at the moment.

See the title attached to post 1.

Poor peon.
:D
I'll investigate further.
Mmmm. I created a test user account and tried. Worked just fine for me.
PM me your password and I'll check your account itself.
OK. I didn't try hard enough.
Here's what happens.
If a user (anyone other than Mod/Admin types) creates a thread, the user can change the thread's title until someone else posts. Then you appear to be AOL (and AOL is definitely worse than anything else).
It doesn't appear to be something I can change in the permissions for any of the usergroups, but I'll still check further. I may have missed it. There are dozens of options.
Until then, enjoy being a Distinguished Member. Primarily because I'm too lazy to change you back, ATM.
