I stumbled upon this while looking for some big band videos on Youtube. The visual gags are amazing. If you've ever listened to Spike and wondered what all the mayhem looked like...this may give you a clue.

What memories! I recall watching The Spike Jones TV shows when I was a kid. The end credits always amused me . . . "Musical instruments by C.G. Conn and Smith & Wesson."

One of the posts on that youtube clip named Zep Meissner as being in Spike's reed section. For years, Zep ran a neat band-instrument store in Burbank. I bought several saxophones from his store over time. He was always helpful and friendly. DAVE
