I'm signed up for my third season at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival (http://www.stratfordfestival.ca).

I'll be playing Reed 3 on Kiss Me Kate. It's been re-scored, so I'm on bari sax/bass clarinet/bassoon/flute/clarinet.

I picked up a lot of other pre-record stuff last year on the incidental music for the straight plays, so I'm hoping to have a piece of that pie again this year. There may be some on-stage musician parts in the plays as well.

We have Christopher Plummer again this year - playing Prospero in The Tempest. Looks to be a great season.

More press (http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/arts/theatre/prospero-wont-be-plummers-last-role/article1615128/) (read goodness) about Merlin's gig:

"Did William Shakespeare write The Tempest as a farewell to the theatre? Whether or not it was intended as such, his romance about revenge and reconciliation on an enchanted island, which opens in a production starring Christopher Plummer on Friday at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival (http://www.stratfordfestival.ca/onstage/productions.aspx?id=6050&prodid=31468), has become closely associated with endings both planned and unplanned in the 400 years since it premiered."

Last Kate is this Saturday. Its been a fun run, though not as intense as West Side.

I was originally looking at a couple of weeks off, then on to another gig. I'll be off a bit longer, but then doing a gig that pays even better for a shorter run.
