Hi

Does anyone have any information about Rich Keilwerth clarinets? Specifically a regular Boehm system model. It is made in Germany and I think from the 60s but could be a bit earlier. All I could find is that Rich is short for Richard and he is a relative (maybe brother?) of Julius Keilwerth.

Hard to judge it since it still has lots of leaks but first impression is that it is very decent. Nothing especially interesting except the keys have a unique look, very industrial.

"Richard". "Brother".

I think that TT's suggestion is excellent: the company still exists and sells woodwinds, so drop 'em a line!

Thanks Ben, I think it's the same company. Didn't realize they still exist. From the photos, they definitely changed from that industrial design to a more classic look.
