Oboe Reed Crafting

Hello everyone I have recently picked up the Oboe and can see why many double-reed players choose to make their own reeds from scratch. so I was just wondering if someone could describe (in detail would be very appreciated) how to craft oboe reeds and also the tools you would need to do it.

And for those of us who are challenged to make anything (I think I'm missing the craftsman gene) you can often get oboe/bassoon reeds from the professors who teach that class in school at a significantly reduced rate. I don't have a link right now for the place Suzy and I get them, but I'll try to remember to look tonight.
