If you're a bassoonist, you probably know the name off the top of your head. I know the name because he took over as the editor of The New Langwill Index (http://larkinam.com/product.asp?pn=BOA192&The+New+Langwill+Index=&bhcd2=1201025410), which is (although not always correct) an invaluable resource to those of us who do research on musical instrument makes and models.
