    Default Free 30-day Amazon Prime Trial

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/prime

    Credit card required.

    Benefits:
    * FREE Two-Day Shipping on millions of items
    * No minimum order size
    * Unlimited instant streaming of thousands of movies and TV shows with Prime Instant Videos
    * A Kindle book to borrow for free each month from the Kindle Owners' Lending Library

    Fine print. The most important is:

    Go to the Manage Your Prime Membership page and click "do not upgrade." You'll continue to enjoy your Amazon Prime benefits until your free trial period is over. Then your membership will automatically cancel. Your card will not be charged.
    IMO, the free Kindle Lending Library is probably the best part. Or the free shipping. On the free shipping part, I've seen a few recommendations that say that you should get it before Christmas to buy gifts. That's not a bad idea.

    Me too, only in Germany it's next day delivery if you don't leave it too late. Not sure if the kindle stuff is thrown in or not.

    Need to watch your purchases, many 3rd party suppliers selling through Amazon these days, and many of them aren't on prime, so you often end up paying postage despite signing up for prime. But (at least here) many of those guys now do 'free' postage and ship overnight as well.

    These days I do most of my shopping through Amazon and Ebay... Food's the big exception.

    What do you want to engineer? 3000 people is less than my standard workload ....

    Hmm. Didn't have to submit a resume since...let's see...1986 or so.
    I'd probably have to buy a dummies' book first.
