    Default A time of plenty...

...apparently exists here in Texas, where "giant reed" (arundo donax) has become a bio-nuisance in Texian streams and rivers. Huge stands of it have clogged rivers like the Nueces, and other coastal areas are threatened to be overrun with the stuff.

However, it is also a good source of plant matter for biofuels, so it may all disappear as Texas entrepreneurs chop it all down to make money - unless Rico or La Vuz steps in first with a reed making plant.
