Age/model of my older Leblanc

Hi. I just got an older Leblanc but there is no model name that I can tell except that it has a G above the LeBlanc name. The S/N is 48805.
I am looking for the age and model name.

Internet sez '79. I found it by searching for "leblanc clarinet serial numbers".

All horns with "Leblanc" on them are from France. That's the pro line. Intermediate line, after about 1940, is Noblet. The student line is Vito. They all have different serial number charts.

The above link is to Steve Sklar's website, which was moved here a while ago. He's got a bunch of pictures and text telling you how to identify the model. Do also note that if you're talking about a bass clarinet, that's a different serial number chart.

I've had plenty of emails from people thinking one thing, then to see pictures and see something completely different.
