I use Apple's safarai on my PC, Windows Vista (pete's favorite :/ ).
This past week it went haywire.

I started getting an error or
WebKit2WebProcess.exe has stopped working

So I uninstalled Safari v5.1.7 (7534.57.2)
Used a registry cleaner

reinstalled Safari
and all worked well .. for a couple days

Now I get an error
"Safari has stopped working" ... blah blah blah Close the Program
Click close and continue ....

Then I get the nice WebKit2WebProcess.exe has stopped working error.
In the first iteration of this problem I was unable to continue.
Now I am able to continue, sometimes. At first I was able to continue most of the times and now it has degraded to very litte.

annoying.
So I've been using IE lately which I use as a backup and need for some specific Java things.

There was nothing really wrong with Vista 64-bit. It worked pretty nicely on my overpowered (for the time) computers. It's just that Vista 32-bit really required the resources of Vista 64-bit, like using about 8gb of RAM, but there was no real way of giving it the resources it wanted: 32-bit OS = 4gb maximum RAM.

Anyhow, there seem to be a lot of folks that have been havening similar problems in Safari. There's a rather in-depth thread on Apple's own forum. However, Mountain Lion (MacOS 10.8) came out earlier this week and included Safari 6. That probably means that a PC version of Safari 6 will be out relatively soon.

I was unaware that Safari used WebKit. I never even checked. However, I know how much WebKit sucks on my Crackberry and on my Kindle.
