Any of these clarinets worth a punt?

I've noticed quite a lot of claris listed on Reverb.com, various prices, and often the members posts videos to show them being played (saw a lovely E11 on there recently )
But for the beginner its a minefield out there!
I'm not in a position to buy one yet but I like to browse and find out as much about the clarinet as possible!

This forum helps a lot in that direction!

That Buffet E11 #532539 looks like it may be a decent deal if it doesn't need much more than a couple hundred dollars worth of work. The German horns are not, however, as well respected or as valuable as the French made E11s.

Noblets tend to be very good deals. As far as I can tell in the few I've handled they are well made instruments. They lack the enthusiasm that clarinetists have for Selmer and Buffet so secondary prices are low... My main Clarinet is a Noblet 40.

What's your budget, approximately?
As there's a few clarinets on there (although none are being sold by anyone in the UK, just ship there) that could be very nice, although they're a bit more expensive. (said Clarinets were a few Yamahas and Selmers, along with an old Pre-R13 with enhanced Boehm keywork.)

At the moment I dont have a budget (unemployed ). I'm just info gathering.

Ah. I'll edit this later today when I'm no longer in school with a list of ones that were fairly nice then.
Most of the ones I had listed from reverb were pro models, along with a few Noblets and a YCL-450. (so the majority of them would be more than 500 pounds)

These 2 are decent instruments that play much better than the price would indicate - if they are well set up.

Something has been bugging me since I posted this re: French vs German E11s....and as I sometimes do I get my facts switched around as I think I have here. One thing that I'll say in my defense is that the history of the E11 is somewhat confusing. I otherwise have a mind like a steel trap, everything that gets inside never escapes me, but nevertheless becomes mangled.... :-/

Looking back at the sources I had read on the subject awhile back, it appears the best though-of e11s were the pre-bankruptcy Schriber instruments made in Germany. But opinions may vary.

I would trust that Kessler Music gets the history right.

How does an S66 Student stand up?

How does an S66 Student stand up?
It's basically a B12, correct?
If so then the ones Carl linked would probably play better than it. Someone at my high school has one-it's an okay horn, although their Normandy plays better than it.
