So I have three Bari stands at the moment. My first Bari stand was the Konig and Meyer Baritone Sax Stand which I picked up locally. It's o.k. but takes up a lot of space and doesn't feel sturdy enough for me. I then moved on a bought a Hercules stand which is even cheaper than the K&M but folds up more compactly than the K&M. It also feels a lot more sturdy. I liked it so much that I picked up a second one.
My complaints about the Hercules stand are that 1) my first stand had a defect with the movable lower support in that the spring broke and it now just drops to the lowest position. 2) The yellow logo on the stand is rather obvious and doesn't really fit in with the conservative look I would like from a stand. 3) I find height adjustment to be a pain as it takes a bit more time to adjust to the correct height.
It's still better than anything else I've used. I remain tempted by the saxrax.
