Beauty and the Beast

We had a preview show tonight --- (Opening is tomorrow) ...

It went pretty good except for a few foul ups ;o). One of the biggest scares was arriving at 7:25 for a 7:30 downbeat.

I also drive the trumpet player and the reed 1 player as well so the MD was a little frazzled (we DID call in advance to say we would be running close to the wire due to the weather and SLOOOOOWWWWW traffic)

We left Toronto @ 4:30 ... and because of the nasty weather it took us 3 hours to get to Guelph ... it was stupid. That trip with good weather at night (i.e. less traffic) takes 50 minutes.

Here's to hoping that we can get there much faster tomorrow!!!

Hey everyone,
I am also playing for BatB, but its at a community theater. My book is Reed II-Oboe/English horn, and yes this show is a BLAST to play. The only personal pitfalls I have had is the super high oboe stuff(up to F above the staff), and the fact that I have not yet gotten an EH...
But if anyone does ever get the chance to do this show, take it! :)
And for those who LOVE to play EH, there are plenty of solo parts.
