Grammy Award-winning saxophone master Charles Neville, of the New Orleans Neville Brothers Band, will perform a Mardi Gras dance party with Henri Smith’s New Orleans Friends and Flavours Saturday, Feb. 2, at 8:30 p.m. at the Bull Run Concerts Series at 215 Great Road (Route 2A) in Shirley.
The band’s repertoire will include New Orleans-flavored funky jazz, rhythm and blues, second-line parade beats, and traditional Mardi Gras Indian chants. Band members include Somerville resident Ben Verdi on piano.

Love Neville Bros. Wish they'd stretch out more in their songs and use Charles,Art and Cyril more instrumentally.They seem content to stay radio friendly with stronger emphasis on vocals and compact arrangements . Heck, I just want to hear more sax and percussion and I know that they can lay it down.
