Crude yet ingenious keywork

Ed, TTT is scaring me with his clarinet pictures again!

I'd more wonder why the upper stack has essentially a square rod for the low F. I'd also wonder how the pads manage to stay on -- if it even uses traditional pads.
 
Pete, maybe it's easier to cut it this way?

I've a few Russian clarinets but none looked like this! They still looked a bit weird but not as sheety as this one :)

They are definitely, overall, some of if not the worst clarinets I've ever seen. Even Chinese clarinets almost always get repaired here. The only clarinet lamp I have is of a Russian clarinet that wasn't worth saving, not even a little bit.
