HELP ID OLD BUFFET CLARINET

Hello,

I am stumped ID'ing an old Buffet. It has modern looking logos on each piece, and only one faint serial number which reads either "1301" or "1801". No letters. It appears to be very old, 20s or 30s, or older? No cracked wood or warping, but it does have a bore hole for the left pinky c# on the cork. If anyone has an idea what year this may be from, I would greatly appreciate any info! Only one barrel came with it, and it has a LP(low pitch) stamped just below the Buffet logo. Thanks for any help! unkbf1.jpgunkbf2.jpgunkbf3.jpgunkbf4.jpgunkbf5.jpgunkbf6.jpgunkbf7.jpgunkbf8.jpgunkbf9.jpg

Howdy.

According to the serial number chart, "1301" and "1801" would track to 1928. Note that Buffet did use letters in their clarinet serial numbers, so you might want to double-check. However, if you look at SteveSklar's website, the latest clarinet with the hole in the tenon thingy is 1930, so I'd call it a pretty good guesstimate.

"Low pitch" means that the horn will play in tune with modern instruments.
