Inherited Sax

I am trying to find out more about the Buescher 400 tenor Sax left to me by my parents. I was thinking of donating it to my high school or learning to play it, but before I make a decision, I would like to know if it's worth repairing/tuning and/or just donating to a school. The markings say "Buescher 400" and it has B11 beneath the serial number.

Those are actually fairly valuable and good enough players that some people settle on these as their "main horn". Its definitely worth getting a local technician to give a quote for refurbishment.

Also keep in mind that we're talking about the B11, which should be the "Top Hat & Cane" version. That's serial number 297xxx-ish to 358xxx-ish.

a. Pictures are needed
b. Serial numbers are needed.
c. Here's my guide on to how to determine horn value.

Reinterpreting BSG, you need to look at closed auctions to determine value (see point c, above). I could list my 2015 Altima for $5,000,000, but it's not going to sell for that. (If you do want to buy my Altima for $5,000,000, please send me a PM.)
