Legere Oboe reed???

I played with a community concert band last Friday and a gentleman playing oboe was using a Legere oboe reed.
It sounded *ok*.
Out of curiosity I asked him how much the reed cost. His answer $125.00....
Me:??????!
As a user of Legere Bb clarinet European Cut Bb clarinet reeds I KNOW that they are pricey....but yikes.
Does anyone know of a place where one could be had for less $?
I'd like to give one a try....but not for $125.

For what it's worth, when a double-reed player replaces a reed it's like a saxophone or clarinet player replacing their reed, ligature, and mouthpiece. So, I'm not overly surprised at the cost. A Legere bari sax reed is $35.
