I picked up my Dad's clarinet at age 15 when the other teens were playing guitar. Having a different instrument then strings in party jam sessions gave me an opportunity to add to the music in a meaningful way. I started playing lap steel guitar when I was about 25. A few years ago I discovered the looping pedal. Now at age 65 I can play both instruments on the same piece of music. The guitar in this video is made out of Tasmanian Blackwood, an acacia species. The clarinet is made of ebony, the true blackwood. The composition: Blackwood Duet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESZTf2wlWLI
