Scott Robinson has released a new CD featuring the music of Thad Jones. As usual, he plays an incredible array of instruments and it sounds like every one is his main axe.
On the new recording he uses Eb flute, C flute, F Mezzo-soprano sax, C melody sax, Bb tenor sax, Bb bass sax, Eb contrabass sarrusophone, Theramin, Echo cornet, French horn and Fluegelhorn. I might have missed a couple.
The only place I have found to buy the CD so far is from Scott himself. Here is the link:
