Was by coincident, but when I get that Noblet playing that would be the weapon of choice. lol

not to mention the dozens of medieval/celtic/shred/metal/headbanger bands with bagpipes of some form or another. We pipers appear to have hit the jackpot here. But to pull this genre off on a clarinet may be something of an idiomatic watershed. Buy the book! see you on YouTube!
 
Rock, schmock...

...the true refuge of the clarinet these days is in the Mexican groups that regularly appear on Sabado Gigante. True, everything on the tube is "lip syced", but the music that is backing the on-stage group has at least three clarinets tooting away, usually in a wavering, out of tune counterpoint to the mariachi-like brass.

Haven't seen a bass clarinet yet, though...
