The new selmer Paris model, the Selmer Seles Presence is a nice clarinet...but you must pay 2300 euros (3081 $) Do you think is a good deal? Selmer could fight against the Buffet R13?
Comment 1: I thought the Seles line was supposed to be kind of "advanced intermediate." If I'm wrong, please correct me. I do know that the $3K number is a bit cheaper than the base R13 and a bit more than a Yamaha pro model.
Comment 2: Never buy version 1.0 of anything . I'd probably wait on them for a year or two or three to see what people have problems with.
Buffet has higher-end horns than the R13. I've also played Selmer clarinets that are easily as good as or better than an R13. And vice-versa.
