Should I bother buying recorder instructional books or just find it all online?

I saw this book Treble Recorder from the Beginning (From the Beginning Book & CD) on Amazon:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...ue&ref_=ox_sc_sfl_title_4&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE

Should I bother buying it just to learn the fingering, or is it easy to just find online resources with the fingering? I presume some of it is going to teach you to read music etc, which I can already do as I play other instruments. Will it be too elementary for me?

I don't want to buy it if I am going to outgrow it very quickly (eg within a week or so) and can just as easily use some of the tune exercises from another book (I have one for the descant recorder, which I am learning at the same time).
