I took the time to video the Seattle Women's Jazz Orchestra and thought I'd share with you these two numbers. The first is my favorite but was too long for YouTube so I ended up putting it on Facebook. If you don't have facebook then you can't see it. Maybe Ed will let me post it to this site.

It's a cool Daniel Barry original done right by the Seattle Women's Jazz Orchestra called "La Folia Lando". See more of this band a swojo.org.

This second chart was short enough I could get it on YouTube. It's John Carisi's "Israel" featuring a solo by a friend of mine who was subbing on 2d alto sax.

As an amateur videographer there's is a lot for me work on, but it was good enough that a SWOJO member wrote and asked permission to post these on their web site.

Three comments:
  1. I really like the bass player. She plays nice, too.
  2. The lead trumpet player is bald and has a mustache. What's with that?
  3. Kudos to whomever for providing a real piano.

The bass was a sub too! The lead trumpet has been with the band for as long as I've been listening. There was a fellow on trombone too. That is the Crossroads piano, one of the few places that provide one.
