Trying to get more information regarding this Selmer Bass Clarinet

Thanks for the wonderful forum

I just ran into this Clarinet a couple days ago and I really have no clue what I got here

It didnt have information with it, so im turning to you to see if you can figure out what this is

I think you've got a contralto, not a bass. Here's a pic of the Selmer Model 40 contralto in rosewood.

I'm definitely not up on contraltos of any make/model. If you've got a serial number, that'd be helpful.

Oh. This is a Selmer Model 37 bass in rosewood. You can see that the neck is an awful lot shorter and the bell is a lot smaller.

I didn't know that Selmer had rosewood horns. Hmmm ....
