Wizard of Oz

I do not enjoy pit playing, but I was pressured today to play Reed 3 in a community theater production of The Wizard of Oz. Supposedly it involves clarinet and bari. They talked my into playing last year, and it was a grind. They are leaning hard on me (I play in other groups with several of the pit players) and they swear they can't get another bari player. Is anyone familiar with a Wizard arrangement that has clarinet and bari on Reed 3?

On the bright side, only four rehearsals, plus dress. On the bad side, it involves five performances. Last year I could barely tolerate the third night.

You were obviously misinformed. There's flute parts in there as well :emoji_rage:

It's really all not that bad of a show. I did it earlier this year. It's fun, music isn't all that hard as far as musicals go. You're playing the new RSC version from 1988 btw. The original was no doubling
