BRAND NEW! Here is the demo recording created by David Arivett of my Appalachian Awakening score. This piece was conceived for violin soloist, woodwind quintet, and jazz rhythm section. However, flexible instrumentation is used to enable the music to be played by many combinations of instruments. The Soundcloud page has a link to my score. One can follow the score while listening to the recording. This is a highly unusual piece in how it combines bossa nova and Appalachian-style fiddle music. For those interested in my writing style, the bossa nova section has some good examples of how I approach line writing.
