I survived another out door winter performance schedule at three different places. One parade where the wind nearly blew us off our feet. One Haverhill stroll that turns into Bar hopping. and the Newburyport "Ice Jamb"!! At least that is what I'm calling it....bbrrrrr. It was supposed to be a three hour gig but we fell short due to icing and general lack of dexterity.
Man was it cold this year with the breeze off the icy Atlantic.
Thank goodness the shop keeper near us was feeding us rummed up eggnog or the instruments would have stayed frozen. He would have the regular slightly spiked nog for the patron s and behind the bar his private stash for us to lubricate our pallets with and to prevent icing........
