A friend passed this link to me today. After listening to it I have sent it to every band teacher I know and my Big Band friends. Provided by the U.S. Army Jazz Ambassadors, it's a must listen for those starting big bands, players, and more.

Those are some great fundamentals. I wish this were available when I taught high school jazz ensemble. When I was in college we had a concert performed by the Airforce "Airmen of Note". The concert was great, but the best part was going to a local pub where several members of the band sat in with a local jazz group.

Great resource! Thanks. Small problem----I went to the website to locate and download the Companion Booklet that was mentioned in the early part of the video, but I can't seem to find it. Any help will be appreciated.

I couldn't find the companion piece either because, apparently this is a very old video.
