Lurkers :)

Whenever I log in, I notice a substantial amount of guests are on line and maybe 1 or 2 members. Just now, there is one member (me) and 46 lur..er.. guests:)

Sometimes it may be hard to commit? Maybe they don't know how to join the forum? Who knows. But more and more of my musician friends know about this little corner of the net. And that's good enough for me.

I think Pete said one time that some of those guests are actually bots working in the background to keep the system hamsters fed.

As a frequent lurker, hi.

There are rarely other recorderists here, so I don't post or comment much. But I find wind instrument design/history minutiae fascinating.

I'm a member of a couple of large computer keyboard forums. I mostly lurk on them because I can't contribute enough, due to my lack of expertise, or because it doesn't contribute enough to the conversation. I've deleted a bunch of long posts after I've realized that my comment merely summarizes the key points in the thread. That being said, I do post a "thanks for this thread"-type comment when the thread is really helpful to me, as none of those forums happen to have a "like" button. The "like" button is one of my favorite features of this forum and Reddit, although I'm not fond of Reddit's "dislike" button.
