Martin Freres

One of these days I'll research if they were one of the original suppliers to Buffet before Malerne started selling clarinets to Buffet.
Some of their early clarinets looks like the early french made (but not by Buffet) Buffet stencils, and the serial numbers I think match up a bit from what little I've looked at.

On the website, it says that "In the late 1890′s, the Thibouville family of Paris took the baton and continued the Martin Freres tradition until ~1927"

I assume that is separate from Martin Thibouville as a maker?

I have an interesting Martin Thibouville clarinet (barrel-less) but I suppose the new company (or rather old company, reborn) would have no interest in it. I have model 22 in the catalogue
