model of noblet normandy?

I have a clarinet that I played in the early 70's and I am trying to figure out the model, etc. I used the helpful information on this site about determining the model and I still can't figure out the model. Here is what I can tell you: It is a wood clarinet, the neck piece is broken and has been replaced. There is a Normandy logo but no numbers in the sheild. On the top joint it says "Made in France" and has the number 5480. The mouthpiece says Noblet Paris. My ultimate goal is to determine a value for it.

The mouthpiece, Noblet Paris is a standard mouthpiece provided with Noblet and Normandy clarinets. It by itself really has no value other than a couple bucks if in really good condition.

If i recall, the Normandy, Made in France models with no numbers are earlier Normandy 4 models. In perfect complete condition it would probably get around $100 or so.

With broken and /or replaced parts it will get less, maybe alot less depending upon what the buyer is looking for.

Here's information on emblems and identification of NOrmandys'

the Serial number list is below the emblem identification listing, but your number is before those numbers so 1940s - 1950s is probable.

Thank you for this information. Some of it I already viewed while searching in the site. The shield on mine looks like the number 4 in the examples you provided but mine does not have the number 4 (or any number). So if I was going to list this on the internet I would call it an "early 4" model Normandy Clarinet?

Ancient thread, so I'll probably not get a bite here...
But if any of you are still out there, I'm a little confused about a Normandy I'm trying to ID.
Instrument is stamped with both "Normandy" and the number "4" above it. Both of these sit inside the classic Normandy "shield". However, the clarinet 'looks' fairly new, yet it has only a four digit serial #: 52xx. ClarinetPerfection http://www.clarinetperfection.com/clsnLeblancNormandy.htm doesn't list serial numbers of less than five digits for the Normandy 4s. This clarinet also has "MADE IN FRANCE" on both joints.
Key work is nickel and looks fairly modern (no shared post for the throat G#/A keys, or anything like that.
Any thoughts?
