    Welcome Toni. Perhaps the fastest way to find a post on the oboe is to select Search from menu bar at the top-middle of your page. That said you can start with the What is Your Oboe Setup topic.

    You'll find the Oboe branch under the main category "The Double-Reed Family", under the sub-heading "The Family of Horns".

    Oh thanks =) Oboes are awesome, I play it myself and I have been for about three years. They're soo hard to tune and the reeds are extremly annoying but hey it's the best instrument there is, just above Piano. Kk thanks again!

    And bassoon isn't bad either...

    My personal favorite is the Heckelphone (although on odd-numbered days it is the sarrusophone) :-D I have to admit, though, that the oboe has a very appealing timbre.
