Page-turning with facial gestures?

Mobile Sheets now offers the option of using facial gestures to signal page turns. The feature is still quite new, essentially experimental, I suppose. I did take a look at this, and the facial recognition appeared to work rather well.. until I picked up my instrument. Of the many gestures that are possible, several probably won't work very well with a mouthpiece in your face (e.g. "smile", "head turn to right", etc.) and others seem impractical to me ("raised eyebrows").

But I haven't really spent much time, yet, playing with this. Was wondering if anyone else has looked into this (with Mobile Sheets or other sheet-music apps).

I’ve tried it on Mobile Sheets. Great idea, but doesn’t work with my very light eyebrows. As you discovered, most other gestures are a non-starter with wind instruments, except for winking, which didn’t work for me either. Probably a better fit for string and keyboard players, and people with dark eyebrows and brown eyes ;-)

I’ll be sticking with my pedal.

I would never try to use that on the stage but it's a nice idea.
