The Pinschophone is a bass flute that has an extension to low G and a somewhat unique head joint. It's named after Thomas Pinschof, the gentleman that designed it.

I *assume* that this is the same Thomas Pinschof that still makes flutes at Magic Flutes International. There are some misc. articles by him on this website, as well. He's a rather prolific author. You can Google him.
Unfortunately ... there's not much more I can find on this flute. It's interesting looking!
