A Pierret alto saxophone, identical to mine, was stolen in Winnipeg last summer. The owner contacted me recently, and asked if I would help spread the word.

Please check out my blog post about the sax, and pass on the word to anyone you know who might be interested. Thanks very much! :)

Helen: No mention of the stolen saxophone's serial number, either here or on your blog (at least that I saw).

May we assume the stolen horn's serial number is in the police file? If known, it would do no harm to post it.

It may not appear important to saxophone fans, but to non-saxophone people (like many police officers) the rarity of this brand would not be recognized. It is the serial number ALONE that most folks know to check. DAVE

The serial number is mentioned Dave. The number is 4117. It was written in green to stand out. Perhaps I misjudged my colour choice being noticeable. :???:

What's actually kinda' cool is that the serial number is actually on the photograph that's on my website from 2005.
