Jaco Pastorius liked to play this tune. He usually did it alone and sounded like a whole orchestra on Fender bass. The title suggested soprano and Contrabass, and that's what is on this recording:

Wasn't there a tune by this name that was the theme for a 1950's movie with John Wayne? Sometimes, titles are inspired by more than jazz themes, you know...

This is the theme from the John Wayne movie. That's where Jaco got it. He had an encyclopedic interest in music of all kinds.
