I normally play on Vandoren Traditional 3.5 strength (for Bb clarinet), but they tend to be quite inconsistent and I'm just not getting the tone quality I'm looking for. Is splurging on Vandoren V12 reeds worth it? Does it really affect sound all that much? And do they run harder than the traditional reeds?
(Edit: I'm new here so sorry for not posting in the sub-forum)

I use them, I can't really say much on consistency compared to blue box.
They run weaker than traditionals actually, a V12 3.5 is roughly somewhere between a 3 and a 3.5 traditional.
How's the tone quality you're looking for different from your current playing?
As some other factors can influence that more.
