Another "Can anyone identify this Selmer Paris"

I have a post that is just about the same as this posting:
http://www.woodwindforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3837

My uncle passed away and we are wondering about his clarinet. My father brought it back from France in 1953. It is a Selmer P1855. It says "DEPOSE" on it. Everything about it looks about the same as the posting I mentioned above except the serial number is a bit different.

We are wondering, first what is the value of this instrument. It is in good condition. Is this a professional instrument? Would a pro player be interested in this?

I play sax/flute/wind controller and my knowledge of clarinets is limited.

Thanks very much.

Selmer Paris only really makes and sells professional instruments. Of course, this is a 58 year old professional instrument now.

"depose" simply means patented or something like that. It is not a model.

The "P" series I think is the Centered Tone model, from what I've read in the past if you bought it in Europe then there is no "Centered Tone" on the clarinet.
