This week's featured original tune on my website is Blues For Lester. This is an extended piece with an eclectic blend of jazz, funk, contemporary classical, and blues. It's an expression of my admiration for Lester Young, the great tenor saxophonist, who had many quirky qualities in his music. In writing this piece I took aspects of Prez's music that I admire and expressed them in my own style.
