Hearing the Eb octocontrabass clarinet?

Luv these guys. Wanna laugh, check out their "Octocontralto clarinet and piccolo A-flat clarinet" video, especially the tuning section at the beginning. :cool:

While the Eb octocontra may have just been in for repairs, I do know that Leblanc sold off a lot, if not all, of their collection a few years back. I believe that Leblanc made one Eb and one Bb octocontra and that was it.

What probably impresses me the most about the octocontra is how much sound he's getting out of the horn. When I played Bb contra, I had to put a LOT of air into it and I don't think I was ever that loud.

Didn't you notice that little Ampeg SVT810 peeking out of the bell of the octocontra?
