I'm trying to know the year of my Bass

Hello. I'm new here.
I have an Evette & Schaeffer bass clarinet which I'm having trouble identifying the the year and other information of.

What I have to go by:
The logo is oval.
Inside the oval, it reads
"EVETTE & SCHAEFFER"
"PARIS"
"FRANCE" .
Under the oval, it reads:
"MODELE BUFFET - CRAMPON" .

The only number I can find is
"391" .
This number is found on the upper joint body directly above where it connects to the lower joint body
(sort of on the same side of the body cylinder as the trademark logo, but slightly to the right).

Am I looking in the right place for the serial # ? The charts I have seen so far don't show 391.

Any information or clues are appreciated.
THANKS

Additional descriptions:

It is definitely wood (with an ebony stain).

The lower joint body reads:
"MADE IN FRANCE"
in an arch shape about 1 inch above the very bottom valve key.

One thing I can say, off the top of my head, is to not look at Buffet serial number lists unless it says "Bass Clarinet" or "Harmony Clarinet." That's because most of the serial number charts you see are for Bb (soprano) clarinet.

I have a thought that your bass might be from the 1940s, but I need pics to prove my hypothesis.

Thanks.
Someone thought it might either be not long after the E&S merger with BC (1890s?)... or perhaps right around or following WWII, when they might have started the numbers from 001 again.

I read here in the site not to attach pictures until after a few posts. I'll try and see if I have past that required mark by now.

The whole thing...

The makers mark is exactly like this, except not gilt.

It's "don't post links," not pics. If I've confused that somewhere, post a link and I'll fix it.

There were a couple times where Buffet serial numbers were lost/destroyed and relaunched at 1. So, I'm going to say "between 1940 and 1950." However, I have no problems with other folks' opinions or corrections.

I'm really not liking the hole, philips screw, and the screw that's ground down at the point where the top and bottom joints meet.

Thank you for the information and clue.

Also note that the bell in the photo is a very recent replacement, while the neck seems quite old.
