As far as I know this is the first recording of "Escapades" the spin off work for alto saxophone and orchestra by John Williams based on the score to "Catch Me If You Can". It is available here. http://www.ncsymphony.org/store/index.cfm?cid=1&pid=196

This photo shows Branford at the recording session. He is playing on a Cannonball "Raven" alto. The Cannonball website indicates that he has since switched to a Vintage model.

I would post some excerpts from the CD but I don't know how to do that on this forum, and I don't have a host site for sound files.

Thanks for the heads up!!! ... Escapades is indeed the symphonic work of music from Catch Me If You Can under the Hal Leonard John Williams collection (or something like that) ... assuming they are playing that arrangement.

I did an arrangement of music from catch me if you can that I played on my final recital ... I definitely will be checking this out!
