Sax Lacquer

I'm looking for lacquer for two things - one is to relacquer a pad cup on a modern chinese horn (where the solder flux has really messed up), the other's to possibly relacquer an old Buescher 20A.

I've been trying to find stuff here in Germany, but am struggling cos of my German.

Anyone like to give me a few pointers. and suggest some brand names/types. Thanks.

Try this.

I'm not an instrument repair tech, nor have I played one on TV, but I have heard of Allied Music Supply and know that they have everything. So, if the above linky doesn't work for you, try Googling for the Allied website. I HAD their URL awhile ago. Can't find it, now.

Many techs use the Nickolas brand of lacquer that comes in a spray can to do touchup work. It comes in both clear and gold tinted colors. The problem is that it cannot be shipped outside of the continental United States by vendors such as Votaw who carry it.

You may be able to find a German company that stocks this product.
