Starting Clarinet again (@ 66)

After about 10 hrs from my last attempt and >>50 yrs from my first attempt, here I go again. They say you’re never too old to learn. We’ll see. I hope to learn from all y’all.

Congrats and enjoy your adventure. I always recommend a few lessons, if you haven't done that already. At the very least, you get your instrument checked out by a professional musician and you can taylor your instruction to the kind of music you really want to be playing. Good luck!

I picked up the Clarinet again a few years ago when I was ~66. I hadn't touched a clarinet since the 70's.

It is interesting to see, after all that time, how much of the fingerings you still remember.

I had to pay attention to covering the tone holes , unlike the Sax.

I also tried about 10 mouthpieces before finding the right one.

Good Luck!
