Vintage Selmer LT tenor sax mouthpieces

I just bought a vintage scroll shank Selmer LT tenor piece on SotW. It seems like a very nice piece: the finishing is superb and it has a nice tone--surprisingly good projection.

There seem to be lots of folks using the LT alto pieces, anybody have any thoughts on these?

I'm particularly interested to hear if anybody has successfully opened one of these up?

Cheers,
Rory

I have one and I think it's pretty nice. Not necessarily what I'm looking for on tenor though. I find I get better results from my modified hard rubber link.

I have one. It was opened up to ... i'll have to check. Ed Z opened it up - actually it was his main player for a while until he changed tenors. I like it because it has a similar "feel" to my metal classical mpcs - all having round throats. It seems to respond to air pressure in the same way except in a HR material. Not as dark as could be but pretty nice and goes along well with my VII which is already dark.
