WCB Music Ambassador Program '09

To get more crowds to the Woodinville Community Band concerts we are rolling out a WCB Ambassador program to play at local venues including a couple of senior citizen homes. The following was sent to my sax peeps and we will be joined by a brass quintet so I only needed a half hour of music.


To promote the WCB we are sending out WCB musical ambassadors to play at a few choice senior citizens centers.

• Tenor – Suzy
• Bari – Greg

Draft set list includes:

• American in Paris
• Christmas Jazz Medley #3 – Jingle Bells
• Saxophone, first arrangement - Philip Glass
• Nutcracker Miniatures
• Intergalactic Rag
• Christmas Jazz Medley #3 – O Little Town of Bethlehem
• Just the Way You Are
• Santa Baby

Gigs are as follows:

• Saturday, 5 Dec WCB Ambassadors at 4 PM, Brighton Gardens (near Crossroads Bellevue)
• Thursday, 10 Dec WCB Ambassadors, 7:30 PM at Emerald Heights (near Redmond HS)

I’m thinking we should have 3 practices. Here’s what I’m thinking:

• Oct 17 (Sat) – Distribute Music and practice from 1 to 2:30 PM
• Nov 14 (Sat) – Practice & recording session 1 to 2:30 PM
• Nov 28 (Sat) – Last practice 1 to 2 PM

Dress will be black on black shirt/pant/dress with holiday ties, hats (optional) and pins for the ladies. One of the gigs may be professionally recorded if I can get Jeff to consider it. )
